: Offer: Chest binders
I would like to offer my sewing skill and time. There are probably many young gender queer and trans folk on tumblr who want to bind their chests and don’t have the money/family support to purchase a quality binder, and don’t have the ability/resources to make their own….
What kind of pattern are people making using this fabric? I’ve found that even the 20% spandex lycra I’ve found at the South Carolina factory stores is not nearly strong enough for chest binding… at least when I’ve made serged tank-top style (similar to the underworks tri-top) binders- even with 4 layers of fabric in the front panel. D:
I haven’t been able to find the 70% nylon 30% spandex fabric shapewear companies use ANYWHERE. Anything less than doubleknit power net or something works no better than a sports bra. D:
Neoprene/frog bra stuff works great, but looks weird under clothes.
